At GradientCast, we believe that your weather data should be as clear as the sky on a sunny day. Your privacy is a core part of our philosophy.
GradientCast does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information to our servers. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
To provide weather forecasts for your current location, GradientCast requests access to your device’s location data. This data is processed locally on your device and sent directly to our weather data provider solely to retrieve the forecast. We do not store your location history, nor do we track your movements in the background.
You can save multiple cities to check their weather. This list of locations, along with your settings (such as unit preferences), is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone unless it is being used to fetch a weather update.
The app performs a minimal network request to a configuration file via HTTPS. This is used solely to verify the minimum supported version of the application and notify you if an update is required. No personal user data is transmitted during this process.
We use trusted third-party services to ensure the app functions correctly.
These services operate under their own privacy policies and process data securely.
Since we do not collect personal data on our own servers, there is no risk of your personal account information being compromised through our application.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through our support page.
